After installation when you logon to Mindbuilt
APT you may encounter the following problems:
+ I have just installed Mindbuilt
APT and it is asking for the user name and password that
I don't know.
Solution: When you login to Mindbuilt
APT for the first time please note that the default
user name is admin and the password
is also admin. Be sure to change the
password and/or rename the account once you login to
the main application. To rename the account or to change
the password go to the Users menu
and click on User Management.
+ I am trying to log on to
Mindbuilt APT with APT server running but I am getting
the error "Mindbuilt APT server seems to be busy
or off line....."
Solution: Please try to login again
after 10 to 15 seconds. Server usually takes that much
time to update the connections. This error usually comes
when:
1) Server has just been installed/ started.
2) You are logging-on within 10-15 seconds after logging
off.
3) Simultaneous logging on to two or more pcs with the
same login name.
It comes less often when:
4) Two instances of Mindbuilt APT server are running
accessing the same database. You may have to close the
other instance.
5) Heavy network traffic due to which server is un-available.
Trying again after 10-15 seconds might solve the problem.
+ Application starts but exits
after a few seconds or a few minutes with the message
that "Mindbuilt APT server seems to be busy or off
line....."
Solution: Please check the version
of your application. To check the version on the Help
menu click About Mindbuilt APT. If the version is 1.1.7
you may have to download the patch
that will upgrade your version to 1.1.8.
This error may also come when you or someone else is
already logged on with the same user name and password
on some different computer. You may have to log off
from the other computer.
Please also check that the server is accessible locally
(if it is running locally) or through the network. To
check if the server is accessible over the network you
may ping the particular computer on which server is
running.
+ Mindbuilt APT is not accepting
my password although I wrote it correctly.
Solution: This error may come when
you or someone else is already logged on with the same
user name and password on some different computer. You
may have to log off from the other computer.
If these procedures do not solve the problem you may contact
